The injuries and suspensions really have hurt the Lions defense.  The Jets carried the ball 42 times for 221 yards rushing (5.3 ypc).  The Jets also completed 16 of 22 passes for 177 net yards passing.  OLB Ernie Sims had 10 tackles.  Fellow rookie FS Daniel Bullocks had 9 tackles.  DB Terrence Holt had 9 tackles and an interception.  DT Marcus Bell had 10 tackles.

The offense put alot of yards up on the Jets defense, but they fell just a little short.  Jon Kitna completed 22 of 36 passes for 269 yards with 3 TDs and 2 INT.  RB Kevin Jones carried the ball 15 times for 86 yards (5.7 ypc) and caught 6 passes for 57 yards and a TD.  WR Mike Furrey continued his fine play this season with 9 catches for 109 yards and a TD.  Roy Williams caught 2 passes for 29 yards and a TD.

This was a fine effort by the Lions, but this team just lacks talent on both sides of the football.
